Ashoka Fellowships: Fellowships are granted to leading social entrepreneurs who demonstrate the following attributes: a fully original idea; creativity; entrepreneurial quality; envisionment of the idea's social impact; and ethical fiber. The application process is rigorous, requiring multiple interviews and an extensive background check. In most cases candidates will be sought out by Ashoka-appointed nominators. Special efforts are made to fund people from communities under-represented in public leadership.
