Purpose and activities: Symantec makes charitable contributions to nonprofit organizations involved with K-12 education. Support is given on a national and international basis.

K-12 Education: Symantec supports programs designed to make computers and technology available in the classroom; foster academic achievement, parent effectiveness, and professional staff preparation; and provide additional social and health services for children.

Types of support: Donated equipment, Donated products, Employee matching gifts.

Limitations: Giving on a national and international basis in areas of company operations, with emphasis on Cupertino and Santa Monica, CA, Beaverton and Springfield, OR, Toronto, Canada, Dublin, Ireland, and in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. No support for sacramental or theological religious organizations, political organizations, or discriminatory organizations. No grants for political campaigns, travel, or capital campaigns.
